🌿Get coaching support: – Have you ever wondered if the way you breathe can be tied to the health of the rest of your body? I recently had a guest, Dr. Mark Burhenne from @askthedentist, who has spent his life researching dentistry and how the way we breathe affects the overall health of our body.

👉 Two studies have also examined the relationship between mouth breathing and eczema (and found a correlation between both) – including higher rates of asthma as well! (links below)

Dr. Burhenne shared that mouth breathing isn’t just tied to eczema – but it can also be tied to:

✅ Asthma & atopic dermatitis
✅ Facial development changes (long narrow face & narrow mouth)
✅ Crooked/crowded teeth & braces
✅ Sleep interruption
✅ Reduced oxygen levels
✅ Tongue-ties

As you can see – mouth breathing can be tied to a whole host of issues.

👉 In addition, Dr. Burhenne has also found that when he breathes through his nose (instead of the mouth), his:

✅ Heart rate decreases
✅ Blood pressure decreases
✅ Anxiety decreases

👉 Did you know that one of the biggest causes of cavities is also due to mouth breathing?

👉 The oral microbiome is closely linked to the mouth.
