People with eczema are more involved in their treatment decisions than ever before.
This collaboration with your doctor to set and achieve health goals and make treatment decisions is known as “shared decision making.” Shared decision making allows your care to reflect your values and meet your needs. And, eczema – which affects each person differently and for which there is currently no cure – is a condition for which shared decision making can be particularly necessary, valuable and where great strides can be made.
National Eczema Association (NEA) is calling on the eczema community to take our Shared Decision Making Survey to help us get a better understanding of how you, as a person with eczema or caregiver of a person with eczema, work with your doctor(s).
If you’re an EczemaWise user, you can find the Shared Decision Making survey in your Surveys Tab in the app. The survey will take our help NEA better understand how people with eczema and their caregivers work with healthcare providers, which will help us create better resources for doctors and patients and, ultimately, lead to better health outcomes for eczema patients.
After taking the survey, you’ll be eligible to enter into a drawing for one of twenty $50 Amazon e-gift cards.
